STOLEN BIKE!!!

Well... Jayson and i swapped frames yesterday to each try something new. but only a few hours after he put my T1 hickerson frame together, someone has stolen it out of his car at the unit block where he lives.

DEW TOUR!!!

well some of you may be lucky enough to have cable but even then the dew tour coverage has been in small amounts and repeated often! SO... here's Ridebmx's version of events. DEW TOUR from THIS WEEKEND. yeah we rode three little jumps at humpty doo... they did this.

well with all the websites and all the blogs and all the myspace/facebook/twitter updates in the world going on it's hard to know where to look but good news... i did look and here's the pick for tonight...

ODYSSEY has been making parts for a long time and has some of the best known and long term pro riders on their team including MIKE AITKEN (who just got voted most popular dirtjumper on another bmx website)... check out these seats and sick red walls!

Also while on the odyssey sight i saw that TAJ HAS A BLOG!?!?... that's TAJ MICHELIC (former?) TERRIBLE ONE owner and rider now on Giant/Mosh. He has recently had BACK SURGERY to the lower part of his spine!!! there's a bunch of pics but most recently some random thoughts from him... he must really be bored sitting around at home. (sitting?!?! probably lying on his gut/standing/hanging from his armpits) He is a true legend of bmx and i funny guy too.

Also because i love T1 so much and they make the frame that i ride AND as it says in the stowaway catalog "Russel Bridley rides a Terrible One and so should you." here is a pic of the new BARCODE!!! holy crap... this is Joe Rich's bike. (no he's not brakeless. futher photos show fly brakes on there. to bad though. ha)

frames are being HAND MADE in the USA by SOLID BIKES... Joe Rich also has a blog but i'll let you find that one yourself. night all.

heavy metal gig in darwin?

yes it's true! there will be a metal gig at HAPPY YESS in darwin city this coming friday the 25th!!
brisbane band SHRAPNEL is playing with local supports... check out their myspace... there's some songs on there to get a feel for the gig! Hope to see you all there!

Gary Young OFF MACNEIL?!?!?

Well GARY YOUNG has been on MACNEIL for 5 years and has really been kicking arse lately with good showings at Dew Tour and X-Games (where he qualified 1st for park!) so a big WHAT THE HELL came out of my mouth when i saw he has left Macneil with no explanation yet and no new frame sponsor announced... yet.

SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL!!!

As some of you may already know some Darwin locals went on a party/ride/sightsee/music festival mission to MELBOURNE earlier this year... As well as riding Flemington Banks, Riverside, RAMPFEST, Camberwell etc.
Leigh, Ross, Taylor and Ormie (me) went to SOUNDWAVE festival!
It is one of the best music events of the year. Each and every year.
Well, I just heard on TRIPLE J that tickets for this year go on sale tomorrow!!
This year's line up is a huge popular/commercial and HEAVY music line up including...

sweet sessions and thanks Jason...

Good sessions this arvo! went to Leanyer park early in the arvo to find nearly no one there... spent some time talking with the young kids and riding before a whole crew rolled up. Hi to Lars and "team army" (how many of yous are there now? 6 riders?) Leigh and Jason of course and then the ANDO SHOW came down on a borrowed bike and shredded as per usual. Good riding. Good times.

Then I found some unreal stuff waiting for me when i got home tonight! first up is an amazing edit that is blowing up all over the net right now. CHARLIE CRUMLISH IN FUTU watch it and realise how awesome it is to have pegs. haha.

Then i started surfing around on niagara street because of the links on that vid! They have a nice blog with heaps of other clips and some bike checks! check out this one!! CAMO AND MARY J it's a nice Macneil. (and definately one for you Leigh)

HUMPTY SPRINGS

BIG shout out goes to whoever is putting in the work out at humpty doo village green and skatepark! i took one look at those jumps a month ago and wrote it off as a bad joke but there's new dirt on there and it's nice! took me three goes to get over. gotta pedal flat out!!
